Mosaic Mercantile tiles are cast from colored vitreous glass in the centuries old tradition of master Italian glass makers. Designed for easy cutting, nipping and application, our tiles may be used in infinite combinations on nearly any reasonably smooth surface. These tiles are shiny smooth on the front side and textured on the back for better adhesive grip. The edges are miter beveled for clean right angle corners. The tiles are waterproof, useable indoors or outdoors, and are easily cut with nippers or broken with a hammer. Each mini tile measures 10 mm square (3/8 inch x 3/8 inch x 1/8 in.). There are approximately 600 tiles to the pound. 1 lb. of tile covers approximately 120 square inches. The exact amount depends upon the width of your grout line. Each of the larger tiles measures 20 mm square (3/4 inch x 3/4 inch x 1/8 in.). There are approximately 200 to 225 pieces per pound. 1 lb. of tile covers approximately 90 square inches.
